A Whiteout Survival reference that shows its working

Every number on this site carries the source it came from and the date it was read. Where two sources disagree, you see the disagreement rather than an average.

If you lead an alliance, you already know the problem. You need to know when an event opens, how many transfers a state can take, what a threshold actually is — and the answer you find is usually a number on its own, with nothing behind it. No link. No date. No way to tell whether it was true last week, true two updates ago, or never true at all. So you schedule around it, and sometimes it costs you the event.

This site is being built to answer that differently. A number appears on a page here only after the bytes that support it are on disk, the snippet containing it has been matched inside those bytes, and the source has been registered with a tier. If that chain breaks, the number does not publish. Not softened, not hedged, not marked "approximate" — withheld.

The three promises

• Sourced and datedEach published value names where it came from and when the page was read. Century Games' own help centre is the authority on its own game, and it is also stale in places by many months. A read date is the only honest way to say how much weight a reader should give it today.
• Disagreements stay visibleWhen the publisher and a fan wiki state different numbers, both are shown and neither is asserted. Averaging two sources produces a third number that nobody stated, and it is the one number guaranteed to be wrong.
• The right game's wordsWhiteout Survival has states and chiefs. A second Century Games title uses entirely different words for those two things, and a great deal of what is written about this game online was produced by sources that could not keep the two apart. A build here fails automatically if the other title's vocabulary reaches a page, and this site does not spell those words out anywhere except the one page that exists to tell them apart.

What is not here yet, and why it is not

What is linked above is what exists. Nothing else is, because a card that leads nowhere is a small lie told on the first screen, and this site has to be worth trusting on the first screen or it is worth nothing.

The ledger those pages will draw on is already built and already gated. It holds fifty-one readings, of which forty-eight currently qualify to publish, two are held back for want of a second independent source, and one is a live disagreement. Forty-three of the forty-eight rest on a single publisher reading, which is legitimate and is also a single point of failure — and that number is stated here rather than buried, because it is the honest measure of how much this site currently knows.

The pages that will follow, in the order they are planned: gift codes with the dead ones retired instead of left to rot, the event and alliance reference, and the wiki of record. Each arrives when its facts pass the gate, and not before. The alliance-leader tools are already here because they contain no game values at all — they are writing tools, and they needed no ledger to wait for.
