Why almost every recruitment post fails
Read ten of them in state chat and they say the same four things: active, friendly, daily events, all welcome. Every one of those is true of nearly every alliance, which means none of them tells a reader anything. A post built entirely from category words is indistinguishable from the post above it, and the person reading is choosing between identical adverts on the basis of which one they saw last.
This generator is built around that problem. The pickers give you the structure, and then it asks you for one specific true detail and puts it in the middle of the post on its own line. A running joke. A person who always leads the rally. A habit. Something that went wrong once and became a thing you say. That line is what a reader remembers an hour later, and it is the only part of the post that another alliance cannot copy.
Pick fewer boxes
The temptation is to tick everything, because everything is a little bit true. Resist it. "We are looking for active players and rebuilding accounts and veterans and newcomers and rally leads and quiet players" is a sentence that describes every player in the game.
Two or three, chosen honestly, will bring you people who fit. Six will bring you a queue of applications from people you will have to disappoint.
Short for chat, long for a board
The default is short, because a post in state chat competes with everything else scrolling past and nobody reads six lines of it. The longer version adds an invitation to ask questions before applying, which is worth having on a recruitment board where a reader has time and is comparing several alliances properly.
What this does not do
It does not post for you, list your alliance in a directory, or find players on your behalf. There are recruitment boards and state directories that do that and do it well; this writes the thing you paste into them.
It also contains no numbers. If you want a power requirement in your post, tick that box and fill in the bracket yourself — we will not put a figure in your mouth, and a generated number carrying no source has no business on a site whose whole claim is that every number shows its working.
When the post has done its job, the welcome message is the one that decides whether they stay, and the rules notice is what they will read next.
